Teresa Clove, MS - CEO/Executive Director

Teresa Clove is the founder, CEO and Executive Director of Thaise Educational and Exposure Tours, Inc. She is the mother of a daughter, Blondell Clove and a son, Dennis Clove. Mrs. Clove received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Corrections from Florida A & M University and a Master's Degree in School Psychology from a joint program from Florida A & M and Florida State Universities. Her career expands over thirty years providing case management services, counseling and mental health therapy to youth and their families in Leon, Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Desoto, Pinellas and Orange Counties. She has also worked with youth in Atlanta, Georgia and Anderson, South Carolina.

In servicing youth in Sarasota and Manatee counties, Mrs. Clove saw a greater need to reach youth in the high risk areas due to the fact that they were dropping out of school at an alarming rate, that teen pregnancy was on the rise, that youth were entering the juvenile justice system at a young age and that drugs were entering the schools as well as the home of the youth. She felt that mentoring and exposing youth to new horizons outside of their community, alone with teaching them the importance of an education could change the direction of their lives, therefore Thaise Educational and Exposure Tours, Inc. was formed.

Mrs. Clove understands what it means to change a child's life. She is a prime example of how mentoring and exposing a child to new horizons can change one's life. Her fifth grade teacher (Mrs. Everly) took her class on a college and exposure tour from Anderson, South Carolina to Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, Alabama.  After returning from that tour her life was changed forever. She ran home to inform her mother that she was going to attend college after high school. Her mother patted her on her back and said, “Okay” not knowing that it would become a reality. Teresa Clove stayed focused throughout the years, maintained above average grades, graduated from high school and became the first in the history of her family to attend college. As a way of giving back, Mrs. Clove has dedicated her life to mentoring and exposing youth to Life’s Possibilities.

Under her direction, Thaise Program has taken youth on college and exposure tours throughout Florida, Georgia, South & North Carolina, Virginia, Washington, DC, New York, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, California, Nevada, Kentucky, Chicago, Mississippi, Canada, Paris, France and Cruises to the Bahamas. Thaise Program is giving youth opportunities that were beyond their scope and dreams. As a result hundreds of youth have attended college, trade or technical school and become employed.
